Make A Difference Day: Assistance League Children’s Book Drive

Across the nation, Make A Difference Day aims to unite people to serve and give back to their community. This year the largest day of service will take place on Oct. 25 in many places near you.

One way to get involved is through the Assistance League Children’s Book Drive. In 120 different chapters across America, the Assistance League will be promoting literacy by collecting new childrens’ books where they will then be delivered to children’s clubs and literacy programs.

Activities with the Assistance League include collecting books, delivering to recipients and programs and collecting photos and stories.

To get involved with this service event, sign up to volunteer at makeadifferenceday.com with the Assistance League of Austin at 4901 Burnet Road, Austin, TX. Volunteering time is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Be sure to #DoGood and sign up to improve the lives of others by uniting the nation in a common mission through #MakeADifferenceDay!
