Dallas marketing firm offers pro-bono creative services

On Oct. 23, 2014, MODassic Marketing will shut down for 24 hours. Why would any company do such a thing?

CreateAthon 2014 is the answer.

CreateAthon is a pro-bono marathon movement that takes a unique and innovative approach to making a difference for nonprofit organizations. CreateAthon pairs with an ad agency, marketing firm or public relations firm, that agrees to donate 24 hours of the entire company’s time and marketing and advertising talents to help selected nonprofits.

Last year, 22 CreatAthon events were held across the country with 103 nonprofits served and 310 projects completed, according to CreatAthon’s website. That’s an estimated $1.3 million in project value delivered for social good.

Dallas-based MODassic Marketing will be one marketing company that will represent Texas in CreateAthon 2014. Design, branding, website design and development, content strategy and email marketing are just a number of services that will be at the selected nonprofit’s disposal.

Better Homes and Gardens, SERVPRO and Freddie Mac are just a few of their full-time clients. MODassic Marketing wants to give nonprofits the tools to succeed and professional direction which they otherwise could not afford.

If there is a 501©3 non-profit that is close to your heart that you think could benefit from pro-bono creative service, please encourage them to apply! An opportunity like this does not come around often.

The deadline to apply is Sept.30.

A full application form and requirements can be found on their website.
