It’s officially April which means it’s officially festival season!

One of the many festivals happening this weekend is the Texas Wild Rice Festival (TWRF) in San Marcos, Texas. TWRF is a festival designated to celebrate and educate the public of the waters of Central Texas specifically the San Marcos River and its ecosystem.

The free festival takes place on the beautiful San Marcos River at Sewell Park on April 11th from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

There will be live music all day with performers such as Guy Forsyth Band, Henry + The InvisiblesĀ , Messages, and more. There will also be educational workshops, featured speakers, food, a screening of Yakona with a live score, and much more fun for the whole family.

It’ll be a wonderful celebration of the river and it’s rain or shine!
